Nissan Rogue is a small sized sport utility vehicle that was introduced in October 2007 and marketed for the year 2008. It is sold in multiple areas such as Europe, Japan, and Australia. The launch of the vehicle took place in an International Auto Show held in Detroit held in 2007.
First Generation (2007-Present)
The first generation Nissan Rogue pumped out 170 horsepower, with the 2.5 Liter 4-cylinder engine, mated to CVT and was introduced in front-wheel drive. The pricing of Nissan Rogue was far lower than Nissan’s Murano; but, Rogue offers less space and smaller trunk of 28.9 cu feet.
Nissan Rogue S
The Nissan Rouge was launched in two trims – SL and S. Nissan Rogue S was the basic trim equipped with basic amenities like air conditioning system, anti lock brakes, cruise control, power windows and other accessories like FM/AM/CD stereo with 4 speakers.
Nissan Rogue S
However, the top end Rogue S trim was incorporated with a 360 Value package, which added alloy wheels with 16 inches, rear mirror with monitor, chrome grille, rear spoiler with body-color, privacy glass at the rear end. The SL trim level had 17 in alloy wheels, polished exhaust-tip and rear tinted glass, outside mirrors with body-color, paddle-shifters, headlights, fog lights, stereo system with 8-speakers.
Both the trims were marketed with the choice of All-wheel drive and Front-wheel drive mechanisms, and they were powered by 170 horsepower, with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and a CVT.
Power- Trains and Performance
All the 2009 models in Nissan Rogues have a 2.5L-4cylinder engine that generates 170 HP and a torque of 175 pound-feet. CVT is the only transmission available in the 2009 model; it has optional all-wheel drive and optional front-wheel drive.
In the drive tests, the 2009 SL Nissan Rogues took nearly took 9.2 seconds to speed up to 60 mph. and the drive test results are very much comparable to the other 4-cylinder compact vehicles.
EPA Ratings
The estimated EPA ratings of the front-wheel-drive Rogue is 22mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highways. The estimated EPA of the vehicles with all-wheel drive drops to some extent (i.e., 21/26/23 mpg).
Safety Amenities
The Nissan Rogue models have traditional safety equipments like antilock disc brakes, traction control and stability control, head restraints, and it has earned good ratings in crash tests. Driver protection has earned nearly five stars in the frontal impact tests. In all the frontal, rear, side impacts, the Nissan Rouges have earned the good five star ratings.

The seating comfort for the rear as well as front passengers is very good. The seats of Nissan Rogue don’t slide or recline forward or backward unlike the other crossovers; the interior space for storage is about 28.9 cu-ft.

2010 Nissan Rogue is a 5-passenger SUV that is available in S, S Krom Edition or SL trim levels. 2010 Rogue is available either with front- or all-wheel drive. Nissan Rogue 2011
2011 Nissan Rogue is a 5-passenger compact SUV which is available in 3 trim levels – S, S Krom and SV trims. 2011 Rogue is equipped with 2.5-L 4-cylinder engine that generates 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a CVT. Safety features of 2011 Rogue includes sunroof, a navigation system, automatic climate control system and auto on/off headlights.
Nissan Rogue 2012
